Before starting with Excel Macro, we need to know, how to open Visual Basic Editor where one should write the code for Excel Macro. To go to Visual Basic Editor is different in a different version of MS Excel.

How to Open VBE in Excel 2003

1. Go to Tools -> Macro -> Visual Basic Editor (Short Key: ALT + F11)
2. Visual Basic Editor will open in a new Window as shown below

1. Right-click on any of the Sheet Name
2. Click on View Code

Note: The left window with the sheet names in it is called the Project Explorer. If Project Explorer is not visible on the left side, click on View and then Project Explorer. Most probably Project Explorer will already appear as a column on the left side of the screen. If not, execute the following three steps to achieve this.
How to Open VBE in Excel 2007 / 2010
1. Click on Visual Basic Editor or press ALT + F11
